Thank you!  Amedeo Bernardi

October 17, 2016

To the Members and Friends of Vision Volleyball Club:

The Board of Vision Volleyball, and myself personally, would like to extend a huge thank you to Amedeo Bernardi for his years of dedication to the sport of volleyball and the Vision Volleyball Club.  Today, Amedeo retired from his position as President of Vision Volleyball Club.

Amedeo’s passion and commitment to leading Vision over the past years has been second to none.  He guided the transition from Wildcat Volleyball Club becoming Vision Volleyball Club and subsequently growing to where we are today.

In the summer of 2014, Amedeo was responsible for convening our first ever NORCECA International Beach Volleyball tournament.  The event was planned and executed on very short notice and immediately put North Bay on the map in the world of International beach volleyball.  The extreme success of this event led to Amedeo’s foresight to develop a world class beach facility here in North Bay and his founding of VSE Canada which continues to provide athletes from local league players to International players a venue to compete at.  This summer VSE Canada hosted their first every Olympic Trial competition which sent a Canadian men’s team to the Rio Summer Olympics.

His steady hand of leadership has allowed Vision Volleyball to be a recognized name in the world of volleyball.

Amedeo will continue to devote much of his time to work in his new role as Past President.  The entire Board of Vision Volleyball look forward to continuing to work with him in this position and will make use of his extensive expertise.

Amedeo will also continue his role as President of VSE Canada in bringing world class beach volleyball to North Bay.  He is also President of the Ontario Volleyball Association and we are proud to have a member of our Club with this responsibility.

Please join me in extending a huge thank you to Amedeo for all that he has done for us!

David Culin
Incoming President
