Danny Gosselin has been appointed as an Assistant Coach with this summer’s Ontario Volleyball's 20U Men's Provincial Team which will be competing at the Canada Games. As a member the 20U Provincial Team's Coaching Staff, Gosselin will be attending both the Provincial Team training sessions from July 2-17 at the University of Toronto and at the National Training Challenge Cup from July 17-22, in Gatineau. Danny will be working directly with head coach Jeff Chung who was also recently named as the men's indoor Canada Games Head Coach.
In addition, Gosselin will be involved with the selection of the 20U Provincial Team and the selection of athletes for the High Performance Centre [HPC] at the HPC Open Tryout. Currently he is the head coach of the U17 boys' team of the Wildcat Volleyball Club which finished in the top 16 at the Ontario Championships held last weekend in Waterloo. Gosselin was instrumental in founding the Wildcat Club Program in North Bay by putting forth extra effort in developing the Club's constitution, developing and training athletes and coaches, promoting the benefits of competition and securing weekend training facilities. His hard work and enthusiasm has produced successes. In his inaugural O.V.A. provincial championships, his team captured a silver medal. Besides his technical and tactical coaching, Danny’s level of effort and commitment to his teams were determining factors in his selection to Ontario's Coaching Staff.
